9 EXTERNAL SELF ALIGNING BALL BEARING UNITS

Steel plate cover design for easy
installation and removal.

Steel plate covered units have a cover fitting groove as
illustrated below:

Installation:

Steel plate cover units have a cover fitting groove as shown
above. Fit the cover into the groove and tap it with a synthetic

resin or wooden hammer from a 45 angle. The cover will be
securely fitted by the reaction force.
Removal:

A groove has been cut onto the outer side of the cover, during
manufacture, to make it easy to remove. Fit a flatblade
screwdriver into the groove, and pry the cover to remove from
housing.
